Carmina Makar has been working in Education and Development for 20 years. She earned her doctoral degree in International Education Development from Columbia University, where she served as a Fulbright Fellow. Her scholarly interests include language, transnational education, and humanitarian responsive practice. Her philanthropic agenda addresses global issues around childhood, space and community development in non-formal education.
